The holidays have arrived!

It's the most wonderful time of the year! There is nothing more beautiful than the glow of the city lit up over the Holidays. With that in mind, we thought we'd share some of the best lights and decorations you can see in Ontario.

1. The Cavalcade of Lights | Toronto

Located in the heart of Toronto at Nathan Phillips Square, the Holiday Fair in the Square runs December 7th – 23rd. Combining beauty and charm of a Christmas market with the excitement and allure of a winter carnival, Fair in the Square is a new favourite Toronto holiday tradition for many families. 

2. Terra Lumina at Toronto Zoo | Scarborough

After nightfall at the Toronto Zoo this winter, you are invited to pursue an immersive experience along a 1.5 km walking path that travels into the future and back. Let yourself be transported by vibrant lighting, multimedia effects, breathtaking video projections and an original score to an enchanted world filled with possibility. And explore this bright and hopeful future to reveal the powerful secrets of tomorrow.

3. Christmas Glow | Toronto Congress Centre

Experience a family-friendly indoor wonderland as you celebrate the magic of Christmas and help the elves uncover Santa’s lost presents! Enjoy interactive light gardens, illuminated structures, delicious food, festive drinks and daily live entertainment all under the twinkle of a million lights.

4. Winter Fest | Canada's Wonderland | Vaughan

Light up your holiday season with 5 million lights and 200,000 Decorations! It is a truly magical experience! Located at Canada's Wonderland, it's the perfect way to kick off the Holiday Season with activities including ice skating on Snow Flake Lake, a nightly tree-lighting ceremony, live holiday shows, cookie decorating with Mrs. Claus, writing letters to Santa at the North Pole Post Office and creating take-home keepsakes. Enjoy this festive experience from November 22nd - December 31st.

5. Lakeside Festival of Lights | Burlington

The Burlington Festival of Lights illuminates the waterfront with a bright, festive display from 4 p.m. to midnight, daily, over the holiday season. Stroll through the 60 glittering displays that light up Burlington’s Spencer Smith Park from November 29 until January 8, 2020.

6. Gift of Lights | Bingemans | Kitchener

Don't want to stand out in the cold? This one is for you. Gift of Lights is a family-friendly drive-thru holiday light display with two tunnels and over 300 animated and static light displays! Enjoy this holiday spectacle from inside the comfort of your own vehicle and some holiday music on the Gift of Lights Radio station.

7. Christmas Panorama | Simcoe

Thousands of lights and holiday themed exhibitions transform Simcoes downtown parks into a magical winter wonderland from 5:30 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. every night over the holidays. Since 1958, the Christmas Panorama is Ontario’s oldest festival of lights. Enjoy a horse-drawn trolley ride, hot chocolate and cider, peruse the Christmas Farm Market.

8. Winter Festival of Lights | Niagara Falls

This spectacular celebration dates back to 1982 and is Canada's largest illumination festival. Over 1.8 million people flock to Niagara Falls every year to enjoy 15 Canadian Wildlife displays, over fifty trees wrapped in lights, the world’s largest Canadian-American Flag, a light show on the Toronto Power Generating Station, the two-storey tall Zimmerman Fountain, and a visitor favourite, Noah’s Ark! This is something you want to make the trip to see. 

9. Christmas Lights Across Canada | Ottawa

With a multimedia show being projected onto Parliament Hill and a light display just waiting for you to explore, Lights Across Canada is partnered with each capital city in the country to link together their displays in a show of Canadian pride and unity. 

10. Blumination Dream Trail | Blue Mountain

November 30, 2019 to March 28, 2020 Experience spectacular lights and sensational sounds. A one kilometer winter stroll through the heights of innovation to the edge of your imagination. Between dusk and 9pm on the hour, the sound of upbeat music will fill the Blue Mountain Village and lights will dance to the rhythm!
